Jazz Guitarist Derek Duleba performs and teaches in the Chicagoland area. He is an active member of the Chicago Jazz Community, performing at many venues including Chicago Symphony Center, Jay Pritzker Pavilion, The Jazz Showcase, and Fitzgerald’s Jazz Club.

 

Mentored by Chicago jazz greats Kelly Sill, Ron Dewar, Art Davis, and Andy Brown, Derek is a former student of renowned guitar virtuoso Fareed Haque. While earning a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies from Northern Illinois University (summa cum laude, May of 2018), he also completed an undergraduate certificate in Philosophy of Education studying eastern philosophy and its integration with education.
